Multiferroics : Past, present and future
Abstract：
Multiferroics are the materials in which ferromagnetism,ferroelectricity , ferroelasticity occur in the same phase. Becuase of this extraordinary behavior along with several technological applications , attracted the attention of the scientific community. In view of this, an effort will be made to ontroduce the concept of Multiferrocs, especially for the beginners / general audience. A sytematic explanation of different types of multiferroics along with their interesting propoerties and applications will be carried out.

Venugopal Reddy教授是A.P.科学院院士，，，，印度Osmania大学物理系教授，，，，从事研究铁磁性子料、金属玻璃、高Tc超导体、巨磁阻锰氧化物、稀磁半导体、尖晶石铁磁电质料等近30年，，，，在国际期刊共揭晓凌驾150篇论文，，，，顺遂完成了12个由差别资助机构资助的课题，，，，指导17位博士研究生完成研究事情。。。拥有3项基于铁磁质料差别方面的专利，，，，对研究生教授凝聚态物理已20多年，，，，出书专著3部。。。对美国、意大利、日本、法国、新加波、马来西亚举行多次学术会见。。。Reddy博士现在是马来西亚玛拉科技大学客座高级教授，，，，也是国际期刊Physics express的资深编委。。。
报告人简介(英文)：Prof. P. Venugopal Reddy, Fellow of A.P. Academy of Sciences, has been working on various types of materials such as ferrites, metallic glasses, High Tc superconductors, Colossal Magneto Resistive manganites, Diluted magnetic semiconductors, manganite based multiferroics etc., at Dept. of Physics, Osmania University for the last 30 years. He has published more than 150 papers in International Journals and successfully completed 12 research projects funded by various funding agencies. 17 students were awarded Ph.Ds under his supervision and he is having three patents based on various aspects of ferrite materials. He has been teaching Condensed Matter Physics to post graduate students for the last 20 years. He is also author of three books. He has visited no. of countries including USA, Italy, Japan, France, Singapore and Malaysia. Dr. Reddy is currently a senior visiting Professor at University of Technology, Mara, Malaysia. He is also a senior editor of an International Journal- Physics express.
